Nate got braces on his top teeth today. He chose to have orange and purple fasteners. He came home from the appointment armed with information about eating "dos and don'ts," and a small kit of cleaning supplies. A few things have changed since I had my braces. He's allowed to have soda occasionally, as long as he brushes right away, and popcorn is no longer on the forbidden list; although, it does come with a warning about trying to eat the hard kernels.
Tonight we'll have mac and cheese for dinner (Mimi-style). Tomorrow, probably eggs or soup or yogurt.

Nate - the first day or two is the worst. EJ and Chloe never complained much after the initial installation. You will be so pleased with the results! Love you all - Aunt Barbie and cousins
hey nate. sorry you had to get braces too, but it pays off. trust me.
hehehe...you might hate them now, but trust me (and yes i know that everyone else is saying this to), THEY PAY OFF!!! I would have still been hating my teeth today it I hadn't got them.

so i see you are officially part of the braces club!! welcome and congratulations!!!! you won't like them at first and it will probably take you a while to get used to eating with all of that metal in your mouth, but it's like ej said, they really do pay off and you will love the end result!!! miss you guys and hopefully i will see you soon
